PROFESSIONAL WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION MISSION STATEMENT

Founded in 1980, PWC is a national, non-profit 501(c)3 organization committed to advancing professional, entrepreneurial, and managerial opportunities for women and other "non-traditional" populations in construction and related industries.

Eligibility

The applicant must be currently enrolled in or entering into a two-year or four-year college undergraduate program or graduate program to study a construction-related discipline (for example, construction management, architecture, civil, mechanical, structural, or electrical engineering, interior design, or landscape design). Students must be attending college or university on a full-time basis.

Awards

The cash value of each scholarship will be $3000, and the number of scholarships each year will be determined by the PWC Board of Directors.

One-year scholarships are not automatically renewed from year to year, but recipients may reapply each year, providing evidence of continued interest in construction and full-time continued enrollment and good standing in a construction industry-related discipline.

The Scholarship Committee will consider grades, extracurricular activities, adult recommendations, and the essay.

Preference will be given to students who plan to attend school within the 6 New England States (CT, MA, VT, NH, ME, and RI) and New York.
